Activating a Vibrant Arts and Culture Scene

Cincinnati is a worldclass destination for arts and culture. In 2023, GCF partnered with generous donors to grant over $12 million to support creative endeavors and expand access to impactful arts and cultural experiences.

Cincinnati Opera Goes to Church
Opera Goes to Church!™/Opera Goes to Temple!™ is a collaboration between Cincinnati Opera and regional churches and temples to bring the energy of the opera to the community. These free events, made possible by a $25,000 grant from GCF, are designed to eliminate barriers to enjoying the opera while celebrating acclaimed Black and diverse opera singers, congregational choirs and musicians.

A Diversity-infused Production of ‘Cinderella’
The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT) has been engaging and educating kids in the art of theatre for more than a century. TCT performances are specifically geared towards the needs and attention spans of children, including their production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, which received a $25,000 grant from GCF. The production was led by a diverse creative team and cast with an intentional emphasis on celebrating diversity and encouraging audiences to ‘dream big.’
