Organization's mission The Safety Net Alliance of Northern Kentucky strengthens the fabric of the local social services sector by providing the only forum for managers and direct service staff across local agencies to regularly interact and to build personal working relationships. These partners are currently committed to working together to more holistically support underserved individuals/families in need.
Who benefits from the project A part-time benefits outreach specialist will be hired. The staff person will serve individuals at the 20 Safety Net Alliance partner agency sites, the majority of which at present only provide crisis intervention. Long-term strategy is to establish Benefit Bank in Kentucky. A Benefit Bank is a web-based computer program to connect low and moderate-income individuals with access to work supports such as tax credits and public benefits.
