Appointed 101 reaches into Butler County: Building leaders, breaking barriers

October 22, 2024

On Saturday, October 19, The Women’s Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation held it’s inaugural Appointed 101 event in Butler County. This event brought together about 50 emerging local leaders eager to step into influential roles within their communities. The program provided participants with essential tools, knowledge, and resources to pursue appointed positions on boards and commissions.

Attendees engaged in discussions with experienced leaders in the northern region learning about the important perspective that women bring to the decision-making process. The event, held at the Lodge, Voice of America park was a tremendous success, highlighting The Women’s Fund Commitment to expanding civic leadership opportunities throughout the region.

“We absolutely could not have done this without our partners in the Butler County area, they were instrumental in helping us tap into their network of emerging women leaders. We are looking forward to more civic leadership training sessions here in the future,” said Rajani Menon, director of Civic Engagement and Leadership, The Women’s Fund.
