The Women’s Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation Welcomes New Executive Director
CINCINNATI (October 21, 2024) — The Women’s Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF), has named Camilla Worrell as its next executive director, effective October 28.
Camilla Worrell is an experienced nonprofit leader with extensive expertise in nonprofit governance, policy advocacy, and fundraising. Most recently, she served as the executive director for Family Promise, a growing nonprofit organization that works to stabilize families experiencing homelessness in Cobb County, Georgia. In that role, she was responsible for managing over 900 volunteers, establishing and maintaining organizational programs, meeting fundraising goals, strategic planning and staff development.
Before Family Promise, Worrell spent over a decade working in underserved communities to address housing needs and draft policy recommendations designed to help families gain financial stability. “We are thrilled to welcome Camilla to The Women’s Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation,” said Rasheda Cromwell, chief impact officer at GCF. “Camilla is an attorney, who has spent nearly two decades helping families address housing needs through intervention programs and advocacy. We believe Camilla’s wealth of experience will be transformative for The Women’s Fund, the women served by our organization, and the entire community.”
In her role with The Women’s Fund, Worrell will be a driving force to advance gender and racial equity for women. “I am very excited to help shape the progress already being made with an all-star Women’s Fund team,” shared Worrell. “The Women’s Fund is a valuable resource for the area and it’s my plan to help inspire investment and drive innovation for gender and racial equity. I am passionate about addressing the barriers facing women using community solutions derived from evidence-based research. I believe investing in women creates healthy communities.”
Worrell holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University.
