Greater Cincinnati Foundation Appoints Sara Bolton as Chief Operating Officer
Cincinnati (March 10, 2025) — Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF) has appointed Sara Bolton, as its new chief operating officer. Previously, Bolton served as chief of staff where she developed data-driven strategies that fostered a stronger organization to launch its next vision and business plan. In her new role, Bolton will build upon her previous work, oversee internal operations, and implement GCF’s new strategic plan.
Before GCF, Bolton was vice president of business services at AMEND Consulting, where she drove business growth by bolstering internal infrastructure and managing team operations. She also spent 11 years at the Health Collaborative, leading a 22-person team, overseeing 35 member hospitals and managing a $19.5M budget.
In her expanded role at GCF, Bolton looks forward to building on the strong foundation that GCF has established through its strategic plan – created in partnership with our community – to build a region filled with endless possibilities, fair opportunities and remarkable vibrancy.
“My first year at GCF has been transformative,” said Bolton. “Our executive team has spent the past six months digging into strategy and aligning our organizational structure to bring it to life. I am honored to be part of this important work.”
“Sara’s exceptional talent for cultivating a high-performing, results-driven organization has been a powerful asset to GCF,” said Matthew Randazzo, president and CEO. “As we look to create a significant and sustained impact in our region over the next decade and beyond, Sara’s operational expertise and thought leadership will be critical in this work.”
