Scholarships
Many of our donors have chosen to create a legacy by establishing scholarship funds. These funds may be in memory of someone special, to honor and alma mater, or for a specific group of people. Many of these scholarship funds were established in partnership with Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation.
GCF Administered Scholarship Programs
Greater Cincinnati African American Scholarship Fund (GCAASF)

Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered for these scholarships:
- 2025 Greater Cincinnati-area high school graduate
- Un-weighted cumulative grade point average of 2.8 or above on a 4.0 scale
- Entering first year of study at a 2–5-year accredited institution
- Enrolled in full-time curriculum
- Pursuing associate or bachelor’s degree
- Applications are accepted February 10 – March 2 and must be submitted via the online form.

The Cincinnati Business and Professional Women’s Scholarship Fund
- Assists women aged 25 or older who are starting or returning to school for an associate of baccalaureate degree at an accredited regional school.
- Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, financial need, and the quality of the application
- Applications are accepted March 1 – April 30 every year.
The Advocates for African Americans (A 3 ) Grant Scholarships
- Scholarships are “awarded” regardless of race, creed, religion, gender or national origin
- Awards based on academic achievements, honors, school and community participation, career goals and a letter of recommendation
The Da Vinci Scholarship Fund
- Partial or full scholarships are awarded to young men and women of Italian descent selected by the Advisory Committee of the Da Vinci Scholarship Fund.
- Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, prior academic performance, community service, particularly the Italian/American community, submission of a personal essay and a possible panel interview.
